Founded in 2011, WDU unites over 400
affiliated entities across 91 countries, all recognized as International
Qualified Entities. Guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with
Disabilities, we break down barriers and drive inclusive projects that empower
persons with disabilities to fully participate in society.
Our
Global Certification Program
WDU is the only institution
worldwide issuing international certifications for fully accessible and
inclusive environments—from airports and hotels to parks, museums, and shopping
centers. Our certification, aligned with UNCRPD Article
9, recognizes venues committed to universal access.
