His Excellency Dr. Ali bin
Mohammed Al-Sawat, Mayor of Al-Baha Region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
received a delegation from the World Disabled Union (WDU), which is visiting
Al-Baha City to assess its readiness for designation as a disability-friendly
city, in accordance with the World Disabled Union (WDU) code and standards.

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat, Mayor of Al-Baha Region in the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, received a delegation from the World Disabled Union
(WDU), which is currently visiting Al-Baha City to assess its eligibility for
designation as a disability-friendly city, in accordance with the World
Disabled Union’s code and standards.
During the meeting, His Excellency warmly
welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for their visit. He
emphasized that the General Secretariat of Municipalities in the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia places great importance on persons with disabilities and is keen
to enhancing accessibility and inclusion across cities and public services. Dr.
Al-Sawat also extended his sincere thanks to the delegation for their efforts,
wishing them continued success in their mission to serve and support the
disability community.
On the other hand, the delegation of the World
Disabled Union expressed their deep gratitude and respect for the warm
hospitality and generous reception, noting that it made them feel as though
they were in their own country. The delegation stated that they were very
pleased with their visit to Al-Baha City and expressed their appreciation for
the opportunity to evaluate it as a potential disability-friendly city.
