WDU Delegation Visits Ikram National
Resort in Al-Baha as Part of Disability-Friendly City Evaluation
Al-Baha, Saudi Arabia — As part of
its official visit to Al-Baha Region, a delegation from the World Disabled
Union (WDU), accompanied by officials from the Al-Baha Municipality, visited
the Ikram National Resort, operated by the Ikram Charity Association for the
Care of the Elderly.
The visit comes within the framework
of launching the evaluation of Al-Baha as a disability-friendly city,
reflecting ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility, inclusion, and quality of
life for persons with disabilities and the elderly.
At the conclusion of the visit, the
WDU delegation expressed its appreciation for the unique and distinguished
experience offered by the resort, noting the quality and inclusiveness of its
services. The delegation highlighted the resort as a model initiative that
combines social care, accessibility, and sustainable tourism.
